This is a suspension lowering bracket. This lowering bracket has been clearcoated and is made of solid 6061 billet aluminum. It is designed to replace the stock suspension arm. This comes with all of the bearings and dust seals installed. This will lower the rear of the GL1800 approximately 1 1/4" or 1" depending on the bracket you select. If you drop the front triple tree on the fork tubes you can lower the bike an additional 1/2". This can be changed with normal hand tools by a competent mechanic in about 1 to 2 hours. This part has been vigorously tested and is proven to be stronger than the stock piece that it replaces. The cornering capabilities of the bike are reduced slightly for the aggressive rider and care needs to be taken when parking the bike on the sidestand since it was designed for a taller bike. This makes a huge difference for the vertically challenged and it will fit all Goldwing 1800's from 2001-2010. Note: We suggest also purchasing the power park center stand to be used in conjunction with this bracket. In addition to allowing you to use the centerstand as normal it also provides more ground clearance than the stock center stand does.
