This is an LED dual load equalizer. This unit is made by Signal Dynamics and is designed to restore the load on the turn signal flasher to a normal level if any incandescent lamps are replaced with LED's. This keeps the turn signals flashing at a normal pace. This will work for one left and one right conversion. If you are changing front turn signals and rear turn signals to LED's, you will need two of these units.

The Dual Load Equalizer Module is designed to correct the issue of turn signals flashing too quickly or not at all. It does this by adding back the load to your mechanical flasher relay that was removed by converting stock incandescent turn signals to LED’s. LED's don't have as much resistance as regular incandescent bulbs and this is caused by a much lower power draw. Resistance is what causes the turn signal to work correctly. Too little a load, and the blinker won't function fast enough...too much load and it will blink too quickly. What the dual load equalizer does is place an artificial load on the circuit so the original blinker will work correctly and at the right speed. 01008, 48-0997

Please Note:
1.) *The security key light will still be lit on late model Harley-Davidsons equipped with the factory security system even with this Dual-Load Equalizer installed. However, the security system is still fully functional and will not be damaged in any way.
2.) *This module is only meant for ONE PAIR (2) of turn signals. If you plan to equalize your front AND rear signals, this will require (2) Dual Load Equalizers.
3.) Hazard flashers can be used for up to 1 hour continuously. (Using hazards for extended periods of time causes heat buildup inside the module, which will not cause any damage to your motorcycle but may damage the components inside)

Mounting and Installation
To install, simply tap the brown wire onto your right turn signal output wire and tap the violet wire onto your left turn signal output wire. Connect the black wire to a ground source and mount the Dual Load Equalizer. It is recommended that the module be mounted in a location not subject to extreme heat conditions. We highly recommend mounting on a flat area of your frame away from any plastic, wiring, or exposed cloth. Secure with the included double sided adhesive pad.
